Registration & Use of the Platform
- To use Learners Avenue, you (as a student or tutor) must register with us and provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of any credentials, codes, or access methods.
- You must be at least the minimum age in your jurisdiction (or have parental consent) to register.
- You may only use the platform for lawful educational or tutoring purposes; you may not misuse or exploit it.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Student, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate registration and profile information.
- Respect tutors’ time, follow schedules, and give proper notice for cancellations.
- Use tutoring sessions in good faith for learning; not use materials to commit academic dishonesty.
As a Tutor, you agree to:
- Provide competent, honest, and high-quality tutoring services.
- Respect students, maintain professionalism, and adhere to ethical standards.
- Not provide materials that infringe copyright or violate laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Both parties must communicate civilly and not harass, threaten, or discriminate.
Payments & Refunds
- All payments for tutoring sessions must go through our secure payment system (unless otherwise agreed).
- Pricing, session length, and terms must be agreed upon before services begin.
- Refunds (if applicable) shall follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy (which should be separately posted).
- Non-payment or chargebacks may lead to suspension or cancellation of registration and services.
Intellectual Property & Content
- All educational materials, documents, and content shared via Learners Avenue are for your personal use only.
- You may not copy, distribute, publish, or resell materials without explicit permission.
- Tutors grant Learners Avenue a license to use anonymized materials for platform improvement, analytics, or promotional purposes (without revealing personal identities).
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- Learners Avenue acts only as a facilitator connecting students and tutors. We do not guarantee any particular educational outcome or grade improvement.
- We are not liable for:
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the platform.
• Errors, omissions, service interruptions, delays, or data loss.
• Acts or omissions by tutors or students. - Our liability, where enforceable, is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant services.
Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate registration or access if you:
- Violate these Terms or our policies.
- Provide false information during registration.
- Engage in harassment, abuse, or illegal activity.
- Fail to fulfill payment obligations.
- Otherwise misuse or jeopardize the platform or its users.
Upon termination, your rights to access the platform cease, though certain provisions (e.g. confidentiality, liability) survive.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms occasionally to reflect platform changes, legal requirements, or improvements. When changes are substantial, we will notify you. Continued use or registration with Learners Avenue implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
